Workforce readiness in the disability sector is another challenge. Support workers and allied health professionals need training to understand which AI tools are available, how to use them, and how to help participants access them through the NDIS.

Regulation and standards are still catching up. As AI-powered medical devices and diagnostic tools become more prevalent, clear regulatory frameworks are needed to ensure they meet safety and efficacy standards before being used in clinical or support settings.
