Our Core Principles

These principles apply to every piece of content published on AI We, regardless of format or topic.

  • Accuracy

Every factual claim — statistics, quotes, policy details, company announcements — must be traceable to a verifiable primary source before publication. We do not publish AI-generated facts without independent confirmation. If a claim cannot be sourced, it does not appear in our articles.

  • Transparency

We clearly identify the nature of each piece — whether it is a news report, an explainer, a practical guide, or an opinion. Our use of AI tools in the editorial process is disclosed openly on our About page. We do not disguise advertising as editorial content.

  • Independence

AI We has no affiliation with any AI company, technology vendor, government body, or political organisation. Advertisers have no input into which stories we cover, how we cover them, or what conclusions we reach. All editorial positions are formed independently.

  • Fairness

When we report on organisations, individuals, or products, we aim to represent their positions accurately and in context. Where a story is critical of a party, we make reasonable efforts to seek comment before publication.

  • Australian relevance

Our primary audience is Australian. We prioritise stories with direct relevance to Australians — local policy, Australian businesses, and global developments with a clear Australian dimension. We do not republish international content without adding Australian context.

  • No fabricated content

We have a strict policy against publishing invented statistics, fabricated quotes, or made-up events. AI language tools are used to assist with drafting and structure only — never to generate facts, quotes, or source material that is then presented as real.

Our Editorial Process

Every article published on AI We goes through the following steps before it reaches readers.

  1. 1

    Topic selection

Story ideas are assessed for newsworthiness, Australian relevance, and reader value. We do not cover topics solely because they are trending or because a commercial party has requested coverage.

  2. 2

    Research and drafting

Writers research the topic using primary sources — government publications, academic papers, official company announcements, and established news organisations. AI tools may assist with structuring and drafting, but all source material is gathered and verified by humans.

  3. 3

    Fact verification

Every factual claim in a draft is checked against its cited source before the article proceeds to editorial review. Claims that cannot be independently verified are removed or clearly labelled as unconfirmed.

  4. 4

    Editorial review

A human editor reviews every article before publication. The editor checks accuracy, tone, Australian relevance, source quality, and whether the content genuinely serves the reader. Articles that do not meet our standards are returned for revision.

  5. 5

    Publication with sources

Published articles include a sources section listing the primary references used. Readers can verify claims independently. The publication date is displayed on every article.

How We Use AI Tools

AI We is a publication about artificial intelligence, and we are transparent about using AI tools in our own editorial process. AI language models are used to assist with drafting article structure and prose. This helps us maintain a consistent publishing schedule and cover a broad range of topics relevant to Australians.

What AI tools do not do at AI We: They do not generate facts, statistics, or quotes that are then presented as real. They do not make editorial decisions about what to cover, when cover and why to cover it. All of these functions remain with human editors.

Every article produced with AI assistance is reviewed by a human editor who checks accuracy, verifies sources, and ensures the content meets our editorial standards before publication. If you have questions about our AI use policy, please contact us.

Our commitment: AI We will never publish content that is factually incorrect (to our knowledge), misleading, or generated without human editorial oversight. If you spot an error, please contact us and we will correct it promptly.

Corrections Policy

AI We is committed to accuracy. When we make a factual error, we correct it promptly and transparently. Corrections are noted within the affected article so that readers who encounter the original version understand what changed and why.

How to report an error: If you believe an article contains a factual inaccuracy, a misleading claim, or content that should be reviewed, please contact us via our contact page. Please include the article URL, the specific claim you believe is incorrect, and any supporting sources. We review all correction requests promptly and in good faith.

What we correct: Factual errors, incorrect statistics, misattributed quotes, and outdated information that materially changes the meaning of an article. We do not alter articles to remove accurate but unflattering information, nor do we accept correction requests from parties seeking to suppress legitimate reporting.

Takedown requests: In accordance with the Australian Consumer Law and the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth), individuals who believe content about them is inaccurate or breaches their privacy may submit a takedown request via our contact page. We will assess all requests against our editorial standards and applicable law.

Advertising and Editorial Independence

AI We is supported by advertising through Google AdSense. Advertising revenue does not influence our editorial decisions. Advertisers have no input into which stories we cover, how we cover them, or what conclusions we reach. All editorial content is produced independently.

We do not accept sponsored articles, paid placements, or native advertising. If this changes in the future, any sponsored content will be clearly labelled as such and kept separate from editorial content.

For full details on how advertising data is handled, see our Privacy Policy.
